Get creative and try to come up with some unique ways to draw eyes Step 4: Crack a glow stick to activate it and place the glow stick on the inside of the toilet paper roll. Some of these books are great to read together as a family, too. Step 2: Paint the roll any color you wish Step 3: Cut out different eye shapes on one side of the roll. The shelves are lined with inspiration on fun book titles for the kids. I also do a lot of research at the local library in finding great books as well. The kids can easily pick up a book anytime that they want so that they can sit down and turn those pages. I find that ordering my own books online and having them around the house works great for reading resources. The kids are always asking me for more learning books so I think that whatever I’m doing is working.

Some of these books are geared towards younger kids while others are full of facts and information. The more that we can pair them up, the more fun that we’re all going to have. I love pairing up books that are about the same thing that we’re learning about and reading. Then we moved onto the next one.Įach page has a different set of objects, so each page is different from one another.ĭon’t forget to pair up the books! I feel like I say this all the time but there is a reason for this! Books and kids go hand in hand and are perfect for getting them to read and to enjoy. When they found all of the same images, they wrote the number in the box at the bottom of the page. At the same time, I asked them to count each one. I asked my kids to find an object and find each of its matches. If you aren’t laminating, any writing utensil is sufficient. Next, I gave my kids a dry erase marker because we laminated ours. We talked about the importance of each object to Canada and why it was included in this activity. If my children didn’t know what it was or the meaning behind it, I would explain. The next thing we did is point out each individual set of objects, one of each, and talk about what it is. If you only plan on using this activity one time, lamination would not be necessary. With lamination, there will be no need to reprint in the future. This is helpful if you plan to use the game over and over. The kids still ask for this game after all these years.
